If you’re like me, you’ve probably got some old cans or bottles of oil based paint, pesticides, oil, batteries and more in your garage or basement that you don’t want to throw in a landfill. The good new is you can load it in your car on a Thursday this s and take to ReWorks Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center (HHWRC) on Graham Road in Stow and safely get rid of it for free. Summit ReWorks is the solid waste management authority for Summit County and they recently started their summer collection schedule every Thursday on June 4th through September 34th.
The HHWRC is open Thursdays from 2-7pm at 1201 Graham Rd in Stow, just west of the Route 8 Graham Road exit/entrance. Summit County Residents are recommended to come after 4:30pm to avoid the crowds, as things slow down later in the day. I honestly forgot how easy it is the drop off, you simply load your car or trunk, drive up, open the hatch or trunk lid, and ReWorks staff will take everything out of your car. You don’t have to get out of your vehicle and best of all, its free!
I’ll be going through my garage later this summer and will be making the shot trip to Stow in July. I hope you’ll take advantage of this great free service Summit ReWorks offers . Here’s a link to learn more
