Does your non profit organization, church, PTA, scout group, block club or neighborhood organization have a vision for a project that can strengthen your section of Ward 8? Now’s your chance to apply for one Akron’s Neighborhood Partnership grants for 2026. Every year each Ward has $15,000 for programs like park improvements, community gardens, youth programs, safety programs , food banks and more.   Usually these end up being split into grants from  $3,000- 5,000 each, but it all depends on the quality of your program and what’s submitted.

Applications are open now until October 30that Midnight.  More info can be found here:

Last year, neighborhood partnership grants in Ward 8 were given to expand a food pantry’s reach,  a new  swingset for Karona  Park, and help with logistics for a 5K run to benefit Case Elementary School programs. One caveat, if you are not a non profit 501-C3, your group will need to partner with one to act as facial agent.   I look forward to seeing what amazing ideas you come up with to move Ward 8 and Akron forward!
