As Akron’s Council Representatives for most of the Merriman Valley, I am on the Steering Committee for the proposed Cuyahoga Valley Gateway Partnership. I’m excited about the opportunity of working with Akron and Cuyahoga Falls on this community-led initiative driving investment in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Gateway Neighborhood. This initiative is designed to attract and deploy public, private, and philanthropic capital to the Valley to achieve the ecological and economic promise of our 2022 master plan.
A public meeting to both explain the project and to discuss it’s potential framework, is scheduled for Wednesday 9/25 at 6:00pm at Weathervane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane.
