If you’re like me, you’ve driven past 1555 W Market and wondered, “what exactly is going on with this property?” I checked in with Code Compliance in early August, and then I stopped by on 8/21 to see for myself.
The garage door and house was wide open, and anyone could get into the home by moving a step ladder and piece of plywood over a man door in the garage. The second story windows were open and the grass needed cut. I put all this info in a 311 request and heard back from Code Compliance after their visit on 8/26. Their report was that the property was not secured, and orders to complain were issued to the general contractor.
Happy to say that as of 8/29, property is secure, windows are closed or covered, lawn has been cut and a dumpster is onsite. I want to thank Code Compliance for their diligence and hopefully we’ll see progress soon!
